Art Is Love

A disassembly of William Zorach's sculpture, "Pioneer Family," re-examining in fragmented form the artistry, seductive expression and historic importance of this artwork, originally conceived in 1936 and executed in 1964. Zorach himself said it best: "Art is not a process of copying nature, but seeing in nature that element of magic, of power, of mystery that comes to us at moments of receptivity."
